President Muhammadu Buhari will on October 11, 2022, confer the National Award of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic on Accord Party’s gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu.
The conferment notice was signed by the Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Sen. George Akume.
Adelabu, a former Deputy Governor of Nigeria’s apex bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria and 2019 governorship candidate of the APC would join other prominent awardees found worthy of the National Honours by the Federal Government.
The award for the financial expert would come up on the same day his gubernatorial campaign train ought to be flagged off.
The 2022 National Honour Award letter signed by the Minister reads: “I have the honour to formally inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the conferment of National honour on you in the rank of OFR, (Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic).”
“The investiture ceremony is scheduled to take place at the International Conference Center, ICC, Abuja on Tuesday, 11 October, 2022 at 9am.”
